Bethel Heights, 'Casteel' Chardonnay, Eola-Amity Hills, Oregon 2016

The top Chardonnay of the Bethel Heights estate - 60% sourced from Wente clones planted in 1977 and the balance coming from the Justice Vineyard planted in 1999. 

Enticing notes of tangerine, peach and apricot, with a hint of caramel and a final flourish of toasted cashew. Not a total oak-bomb, but not lacking said character either. Fans of white Burgundy will find solace here.
